You're on the right page if you:
1. tried to join FCCrowers, but something weird happened,
2. believe you joined FCCrowers, but haven't received any email,
3. can't see the email, pictures or file attachments archived on your group's home page,
4. want to start or respond to a poll, but can't find it,
5. haven't had any problems, but now you want to get
the listserv email at a different address, or
6. received an email telling you to reactivate your FCCrowers listserv account,
7. want to get off the list-serv
If you're frustrated or the directions below look too
convoluted, contact Mark Pedersen, the Listserv
Moderator. Mark can be reached at
(585) 613-4052 any time. Or
email him. Be sure to include your name and telephone number and a description of the problem, including info on when
the problem started.
For items 1 and 2 above, please contact the Listserv Moderator,
Mark Pedersen, (585)-613-4052 any time.
Items 3, 4 and 5 can be resolved by signing in to Yahoo. However, your Yahoo! ID must be connected to your list-serv membership.
There are three ways to fix Items 3, 4 and 5, as follows:
A. If you have a Yahoo ID already connected to
a FCC listserv, go to the listserv group's home page (http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/FCCrowers/) and sign in. The email,
files, polls and pictures will now be accessible. Look for an "Edit my membership" link to update your email address.
OR B. If you do not have a Yahoo! ID, go to the group's home page (as in A, above) and look for a link to sign-in or register for a Yahoo ID.
Be sure to set
the email address used to create your Yahoo ID to the
same one at which you get your listserv email. You may need
to reply to a confirmation email before your Yahoo! ID will work. Return to the group's home page, sign in with your Yahoo! ID.
Continue as in A, above.
OR
C. If you have a Yahoo ID, but it isn't connected to the
listserv(s), go to
http://www.yahoo.com/, sign in and click on "Edit my
membership" to
update your email address to that at which you get the
listserv email. Then go to the group's home page, sign in and
again click on
"Edit my membership" to update your email address if you
want to receive listserv email at a different address.
The FCC Listserv Moderator cannot update your address without risking the incurrance of an email block by your Internet Service Provider. If needed, he can send you a new invitation to join to the new address.
For item 6, emails from Yahoo Groups asking you to reactivate your crew
listserv account are legitimate. Usually it means that your Internet Service Provider (ISP) has blocked email from this group, and Yahoo! wants to know if you still are still interested in
receiving it. It's always okay to contact the Listserv
Moderator, Mark Pedersen, at (585) 613-4052 or
email him, if you'd like a confirmation of its legitimacy first.
For item 7, scroll to the bottom of any list-serv email and click on the
"unsubscribe" link. The Listserv Moderator monitors the membership lists on a regular basis and contacts those members whose email is being returned
to the listserv undelivered (aka bouncing). However, sometimes mail does not get reported as undeliverable, especially when the recipient uses a spam filter.
