Started in 2005, our annual Row for Community ergathon
has raised funds for the Perinton Food Shelf and for
much-needed equipment for
our club. This event supports
our mission to develop community connectedness among our youth. (Newspaper articles on the event are
available.) The
2005 and 2006 donations raised by Fairport
Crew have been the two largest
donations the Perinton Food Shelf has ever received.
The fourth annual Row for Community was held in the BonTon Court at Eastview
Mall in Victor, NY on Saturday, March 29, 2008. Prior to the ergathon, our
rowers
obtained sponsorships for their 60 minutes of rowing on an erg machine.
