First, directions to the Albany Marriott in Albany, NY. (3.5 hour drive):
1. NYS Thruway east to Rte I-87 North exit 24.
2. Go thru toll booth, follow signs for I-87 North (airport/Montreal).
3. Get off at Exit 2 East - Wolfe Road. Go straight off ramp, and keep going straight after the first traffic light.
4. After the light, hotel is 1.3 miles on the right side immediately past Metro Park shopping strip;
entrance is across street from Red Lobster and Marriott Courtyard.
Then directions to the race site (20 minutes from Albany Marriott)
1. Wolfe Rd to Rte 87 North
2. Rte 87 North to exit 14, Saratoga.
3. Turn left off the ramp onto route 9P East toward Saratoga Lake. You will be going east, away from the city of
Saratoga.
4. About 2 miles, you will cross a bridge over the rowing course.
Turn left immediately after the bridge.
5. Parking can be in Lee's Parkgrounds. For drivers there was a $10 parking fee for 2003's Head of the Fish regatta.
There are other off-road parking areas available for a fee. The police will ticket cars parked along the road. |
