Fundraising
updated February 26, 2008
Fundraising is an essential part of our club. It allows us to provide better equipment and facilities while making
the rowing experience more accessible to all youth by keeping membership fees low.

Row for Community

The club will hold its 4th annual ergathon on Saturday, March 29, 2008 starting at 9 a.m. at the BonTon Court
at Eastview Mall in Victor to raise funds through rower sponsorship. The Row for Community ergathon raises
funds for the Perinton Food Shelf as well as for much-needed crew equipment. Additional information - and an
online donation form - are available on our Row for Community 2008 page.

Lift Bridge Regatta

We appreciate the generous contributions of sponsors to our annual fall Lift Bridge Regatta (LBR) to help make the event a community success. When you visit our 2006 LBR sponsors and our 2007 sponsors, please tell them you saw them on our website.

Our next Lift Bridge Regatta is scheduled for Sunday, September 21, 2008.

Car wash

Our 5th annual car wash was held on September 15, 2007 at Key Bank in Perinton to raise funds for boats and equipment. Pre-sale tickets were available.

Jewelry and Italian Cookbook Sale

On June 23, 2007, FCC held a jewelry and cookbook fundraiser at the FCC boathouse. Proceeds went to FCC to purchase and maintain crew equipment and to Hillside Children's Center.

Donors

Private donations help to maintain and expand our program. We appreciate the generous contributions of our donors and acknowledge them on our Donors page.

Bottle & Can drives

The rowers have the task to collect returnable bottles and cans (or the receipts for them) from their
neighborhoods. Monies go toward the buying fuel for the launch boats used by coaches during on-the-water practices.

FCC has designated the new EZ Bottle and Can (http://www.ezreturn.org/) location at 1259 Fairport Road
(between Jefferson Rd. and the railroad overpass, opposite Dryclean Express) as our new dropoff point. Details for FCC members are available HERE. A sign with FCC’s name is posted on the wall at EZ Bottle and Can, so our friends and neighbors can easily donate to FCC too.

The FCC boathouse

We initiated a capital campaign in 2002 to raise funds to build a
boathouse in Perinton Park in 2003. The boathouse has been in use since May 2003. However, funds are still needed to finish it.
