Lift Bridge Regatta 2007

General Information

The 3nd Annual Lift Bridge Regatta, was held on Sunday, September 23 in the historic Village of Fairport. Masters, Scholastic, Sculling, Sweep and Lightweight events were held for both Men and Women. The head races started at the flood gates just NE of I-490 and finished at the Lift Bridge in Fairport. The course was approximately 5,400 meters. The Novice Course was shorter.

Medals were awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers in races which had at least 3 boats competing. The results are:

Events 1, 2, 3: Men's Open 1x, Men's Master 1x and Women's Open 1x

Events 4, 5, 7 & 8: Women's Master 1x, Men's Rec 1x, Varsity Girls' 8x+ and Varsity Girls' Ltwt 8x

Events 9, 10, 11, 12, 13: Varsity Boys 4+, Varsity Boys Ltwt 4+, Men's Master 8+, Women's Master 4+ and Novice Boys 8+

Events 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18: Men's Open 2x, Men's Master 2x, Novice Girls' 8+, Varsity Boys' 8+ and Varsity Boys' Ltwt 8+

Events 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 and 24: Women's Master 8+, Varsity Girls' 4+, Varsity Girls' Ltwt 4+, Mixed 2x, Men's Master 4+ and Women's Open 2x

Event 25: Women's Master 2x

Regatta shirts commemorate this years' race. Fashioned from a painting from a local artist, Lorraine Staunch, the image depicts a rower and the swirls created by the oars under the historic Fairport Liftbridge. The image is set upon a black shirt.
